Year-Round Storage & Long-Term Maintenance – Make Your MFRH Folding Wagon Last for Years

Though a folding wagon is a simple tool, proper storage and maintenance can significantly extend its service life, especially if frequently used at the beach, on muddy ground, or in the rain.

After each use:

1. Remove debris – shake out residual sand, dirt, leaves, and food crumbs.

2. Wipe the Oxford fabric – use a damp cloth to clean inside and out. For stubborn stains, use mild detergent + soft brush, then wipe clean with water.

3. Clean the wheels – check for small stones stuck in the tread and remove them with a screwdriver or key.

4. Inspect wheel axles – spin each wheel. If you hear noise or feel resistance, add a few drops of sewing machine oil or WD-40 (avoid getting it on brake mechanisms).

Before long-term storage:

• Must be completely dry – leave the wagon unfolded in a ventilated area for at least 2 hours to prevent moisture inside the metal tubes (rust).

• Fold properly – follow the correct folding steps and secure with the original strap or Velcro to prevent accidental unfolding.

• Storage environment – avoid direct sunlight (UV rays will age and crack Oxford fabric), avoid damp basements (mold risk), and keep away from heat sources.

• Storage position – can be stored flat or upright, but do not place heavy objects on top of it.

Regular checks (every 3 months):

• Check screws at frame connections for loosening, especially the hinge between the handle and the body.

• Inspect brake pads on wheels for wear (on braked models).

• Look for tears or loose threads in the Oxford fabric.

• Check that the telescopic handle extends and retracts smoothly.

Replaceable parts: Wheels, brake assemblies, handle foam grips, and Oxford fabric side walls (for some models) can be purchased from suppliers. It’s a good idea to keep a spare set of common screws and axle washers.
